It is important to meet each individual where they are at. There are various therapies that can be provided from traditional talk, art, sound, and somatic therapy. Each session can be a mixture of all or a focus on a specific therapeutic modality. Each session is approximately 50 minutes.
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy. It allows for individuals to express unconscious emotions, memories, and trauma. Many individuals have a difficult time expressing themselves verbally. Art therapy helps to provide an alternative way of expression. Art is an universal language that is understood by people of different abilities, backgrounds and languages
Somatic therapy allows for a mind and body connection. It utilizes different movements and techniques to move trauma and energy from your body. It can use breath, visualizations, focusing on sensations, movement, and dance to shift energy in the body.
Sound healing is beneficial for relaxation, healing, improved sleep, and helps to reduce stress. There are different tones in sound healing that can help and calm the mind and ease stress. Some sound therapy instruments are crystal singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks, rain drum, drum, rattle, and more.
Each workshop provides information and art creation about each topic. Each participant will get art supplies and promotion material.
